Yellow Ribbons United launched with an inaugural event in YEAR called Playfield in the Park. 500 children and teens attending the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) Good Grief Camp and Honoring Our Heroes camp over Memorial Day Weekend were treated to a picnic lunch, games, and sports activities.In the heart of Washington, DC a variety of sponsors including NFL Play60, NFL Punt Pass and Kick, American Girl, Washington Kastles, DC United, Sprinkles Cupcakes, Dog Tag Bakery and Lifetime Fitness participated by providing their unique spin on the event.
Yellow Ribbons United also hosts an annual Tiny Heroes Winter Wonderland holiday party in December. Each year we partner with TAPS to host the children of fallen service members for an evening of fun, games, gifts and solidarity.
